More Info:  The Ron Pedde Memorial Community Garden was dedicated in 2018; as council member his goal was to connect the community to nature and preserve wildlife. The garden has been mostly unattended since the coordinator left in 2021.  The garden is a bit unruly and needs a little TLC and back breaking labor. The garden is set in a natural area of Schlather Park in Cibolo; 1017 Town Creek Rd, Cibolo, TX, 78108. Volunteer hours are set for Monday / Wednesday 8am-10am.

Here are some upcoming volunteer opportunities.

• Upcoming tasks for the garden include leveling gravel walkway(damaged in June floods)-current, plant fall crop / cover crop, fertilize / condition beds, planting seeds that need to overwinter, mulch beds.

• Need volunteers to help create a large orchard bed and several flower beds for pollinators; more details to come.

• Keep your ears perked for future learning opportunities, workshops, and planting events.
