
Gutierrez Garden Park is one of Project Gardens being featured at the Community Event and Plant Sale at the Ron Pedde Memorial Community Garden in Cibolo on Saturday April 18th 2026 from 9AM – 4PM.
Gutierrez Garden Park – The park features a Butterfly Garden, Texas Superstar Trail, Lions Club Hummingbird Garden, Dojo Birdhouse Garden, Native plants, a Bird “Woods” and coming soon a Bird “Prairie.” This 2-acre park features multiple garden areas beautifully maintained by the Guadalupe Master Gardeners volunteer group. The gazebo area is perfect for photo opportunities, and a shaded and lighted walking trail encircles the park, and a new Texas Superstar Lacey Oak tree was planted by Cub Scout Pack #51!

Happy Fall! Gutierrez Park looks amazing this Fall and hope you have been able to visit (or soon visit). We have several volunteer opportunities coming up.November 22- Gutierrez Park Fall Workday. – Clemens H.S. Honor Society students and we need at least 4-5 Master Gardeners to help with this event. We will be tilling an area of the park, sowing wildflower seeds, leveling the borders, light watering, light weeding.Thursday, Dec 4th at the Schertz Library, we will be prepping for the “Hot Chocolate in the Park” event for Dec 5th. We need help getting marshmallows packets ready for the event and making signs. Time: 4:45-6:30pmFriday, Dec 5th – Hot Chocolate in the Park event at Gutierrez Park from 4:30pm-6pm. Clemens H.S. will be helping with this event!
- We do have a few wish lists if you are able to help in this way:
- We need to replace a water hose that was taken from the park (used or new)
- Yard bags (paper preferred)
- Food items for Hot Chocolate in the Park: hot cocoa, marshmallows, chocolates, baggies, tags for marshmallow bags.

Rock Art/crafts
Mulch the whole park to prepare for Winter
