The Park West Pollinator Garden spring planting will be Monday, March 17, 2025 from 8:30 to 11 AM. All Master Naturalists and Master Gardeners can earn volunteer hours by attending, as we will plant several new native species and spread the many bags of mulch that the City of Seguin has provided. Members of the Guadalupe Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas are encouraged to attend, as the garden is funded by NPSOT’s contributions.
The Pollinator Garden is a monarch monitoring site, with sightings reported to the national MMLP database. It was originally part of a City of Seguin grant from the Water Smart Foundation for public gardens.
Park West is located at 601 N Vaughan Ave., Seguin. Volunteers should dress for gardening work including gloves and a hat and bring a rake, clippers and water. Please RSVP to Belinda Rossiter (belindarossitor@gmail.com or 713-248-2001) or Nancy Masterson (nsethermasterson@gmail.com or 830-305-9104).
