San Marcos Nature Center (SMNC). The SMNC is a cooperative program of the City of San Marcos and Texas State University. The SMNC has a variety of indoor animal exhibits and an outdoor Wildscape of native plants and animals found in the San Marcos area. What can you there? Take a tour amongst the living library of native plant species. Sign up for a floral or gardening workshop, or a seminar that promotes the use of native plants and sustainable landscaping techniques.
San Antonio Botanical Garden. Connecting people to the plant world through experience, education, and research. Operated under the auspices of the City of San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department, the San Antonio Botanical Garden founded in 1980, encompasses 33 acres in the center of the city of San Antonio, 555 Funston @ North New Braunfels Avenue.
