Once you have logged into VMS, go to General Information, then Member Roster, then Email Members.
The email members tab will open, this is where you can email any member, group of members or members associated to a project or interest (each member has to assign themselves to the projects they want to be involved or associated with and have selected their interests – this can be covered in a different Tip if anyone needs this explanation). So in this example, we want to send an email to the board of directors, you do not currently see them listed, so scroll down further until you do.
Ok, there they are. Go ahead and click the check box, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen until you see the Green Email by Interest or Group button.
Click on the Green button to get to the next part of the process.
Now the members that are part of the group or interest you selected (in our case the 2025 Board of Directors) will show up, but now you need to either individually select the members of that group you want to email or you can click on that box that shows a check mark to select all members.
I selected the check mark box and all members are then selected. If I click on the empty Select All/None first nothing happens, but if I did click the checked box first all get selected and now I can either individually uncheck anyone if necessary or selecting that empty box will deselect all.
You can change the Date from the default of today (though I do not see a good purpose here). Your email address as you configured it in your profile will be automatically added as the from Email as well as be the reply to email. So populate the Subject line and type your email. You can attach up to 3 documents or files. When ready to send, click on the “Send Mail” button at the bottom of the page.
