NEWS FROM THE NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY OF TEXAS, GUADALUPE CHAPTER

The Guadalupe Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday March 11th at 7:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 1121 E. Walnut Street, Seguin, Texas.

Program: Monarchs and Tropical Milkweed by Howard Nemerov via Zoom shown on projector

Howard Nemerov is a Texas Certified Master Gardener with an Advanced Entomology certification and is a member of the NPSOT “Bring Back Monarchs to Texas” project. When he’s not researching, he’s out gardening;his yard is his laboratory. Through research, Howard has built a list of county-level native plants for Master Gardener and NPSOT plant sales and teaches people how to create a low-maintenance haven for humans, plants, and pollinators. He will be discussing our native Texas milkweeds and how we an use them to help Monarchs and other pollinators in Texas.

There will be a social time at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program at 7:00 p.m. Parking in the rear, enter from N. Moss Street.
